The Bill Ozborn Collection |
Bill Ozborn
An avid book collector, Bill managed to amass approximately 5,000 books during his lifetime. He spent much of his time on the Internet searching for interesting books, as well as visiting local book shops or those wherever he traveled. His passion for reading and literature brought him great joy and he shared that gift unselfishly with those around him. Bill was especially interested in books involving self development, consciousness, spirituality, religion and meditation. In particular, he was interested in books by or related to G. I. Gurdjieff, P. D. Ouspensky and The Fourth Way.
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Bill died on February 4, 2007, in Baltimore, Maryland. He is sorely missed but will be remembered by friends and family as a true gentleman and scholar. In one of the last e-mails to his sister, he wrote:
“…if you have a hunger and thirst for knowledge and understanding about everything and find that you have an opportunity to pursue that and then do it in the best way that you know how, you are going to be a happier person. I think I have always been very lucky in that way.”
That was the way Bill lived and that, in a few words, was his life.
